Jon has been in the insurance industry since 1994 working as a broker, agent, and risk manager. As a specialist in property and liability exposures, he has become one of the premier experts on insurance and risk management issues pertaining nonprofits, technology firms, manufactured housing communities, property managers, religious institutions, community banks, art galleries, and the LGBT community. Some of the other areas of insurance and risk management Jon handles include: Businessowners, Homes, Autos, Umbrella Liability, Professional Liability, Directors & Officers Liability, Workers Compensation, and Surety Bonds. He serves on a number of non-profit and industry boards including the Utah Gay Chamber, the Utah Pride Center, Utah Association of Independent Insurance Agents, Young Agents of Utah, Salt Lake Association of Independent Insurance Agents, Encompass/Allstate National Advisory Board, SAFECO Advisory Board, Workers Compensation Fund of Utah Agents Council, Queer Utah Aquatic Club (QUAC), and works with Equality Utah as a legislative strategist and the 2009/2010 Allies Dinner Chairman. Whether it’s lobbying the State legislature for equal protections, running a campaign for a fair-minded candidate, or human rights advocacy work, Jon spends much of his time serving the local community.
